The Carbon Diem app, created by inventor Andreas Zachariah, which is an application for mobile phones that tracks the user’s carbon footprint. Andreas received an award for innovation by the European Space Agency.
The user-friendly Carbon Diem “knows” the mode of transportation used while riding in a vehicle, It uses an advanced software technology that transmits speed and distance, calculates it, and then uploads the information to a Global Positioning System (GPS).

Sonim known previously Sonim XP1, announced the release of XP3 which is apparently even more shock and drop resistant and waterproof, it can even survive being fully submersed for 30 minutes within one meter of water.
With an expected release date set for March 2009, the Sonim XP3 will have GSM device with quad-band EDGE support, and a screen display that is resistant to glare and protected against moisture, mechanical and thermal shock it provides a resolution of 160×128 pixels. Other features on the Sonim cellphone include GPS, bluetooth, 3-megapixel camera, and bluetooth.

New Update for Apple iPhone and iTunes

Apple released an update to iTunes Version 8.0.2 and iPhone firmware 2.2 which will improve stability and performance of iTune and can provide a number of important bug fixes and adds VoiceOver capabilities for both iTunes and iTunes U. Cell Phone Disco

Cell Phone Disco is an experimental art installation by Ursula Lavrencic and Auke Touwslager, the project blends technology with art, music and into a microcosm of nightlife. With LED lights installation triggered with a sensor electromagnetic radiation, the cell phones transmit are detected when a call is placed. The lights illuminate the area around the cell phone and the phone’s ‘aura’ follows users while they walk around through the space..Watch the video.
